MARYVILLE, Mo. - Northwest Advocates for Animal Awareness is hosting its annual spring luncheon for the New Nodaway Humane Societies Animal Shelter.
The event will be 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 22nd in the Fellowship Hall of First Christian Church, located at Third and Buchanan streets in Maryville. Cost is $6 per person.
Local cooks are encouraged to donate favorite salads or desserts for the luncheon. Dishes can be dropped off prior to the luncheon.
Entertainment will be provided by Northwest musicians, Elise Jones and Friends. Tables will be decorated by Horace Mann students. In honor of Earth Day, the luncheon will include eco-friendly decorations and serviceware, along with travel and adventure items for pets.
Attendees also will have chances to win door prizes, raffles and participate in a silent auction. Raffle tickets can be purchased prior to and during the luncheon.
