MARYVILLE, Mo. - A four-day, three-night getaway to San Antonio, Texas, is the next trip offered by the Tourin' Bearcats, the travel program for Northwest Missouri State University alumni and friends.

The Northwest Alumni Association-sponsored trip, which is open to the public, is Oct. 7-10. The cost is $775 per person, based on double occupancy, and includes roundtrip airfare from Kansas City, transfers and lodging at a hotel located along the famed River Walk. In addition, the cost includes a scenic riverboat cruise; a tour of the Hill Country, which includes the LBJ Ranch, Becker Vineyards and Luckenbach, Texas; a tour of the Alamo; a tour of the Texas Ranger Museum and the Buckhorn Museum; and a Texas-style farewell dinner.

Reservations, with a $100 deposit, are due July 5, and final payment is due by Sept. 3. Checks should be made out to Cotter Travel and mailed to Northwest Missouri State University, Alumni House, 800 University Dr., Maryville, MO 64468.

"Based on surveys, past travelers indicated an interest in a trip to San Antonio," said Steve Sutton, Northwest's director of alumni relations. "We're happy to offer such a trip, which has been scheduled not to conflict with a home Bearcat football game. We've got some excellent tours lined up that really highlight that unique area. Also, the weather in San Antonio is absolutely wonderful that time of year."

Those wishing to participate in the Tourin' Bearcats' trip to San Antonio, Texas, are encouraged to reserve their space as soon as possible.
