LIBERTY, Mo.- The artwork of Rachel Mindrup will be displayed at the Northwest Missouri State University Kansas City Center throughout this month.
The exhibit will open with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 8. The Kansas City Center is located at Blue Jay Tower Plaza, 8 Victory Lane, in Liberty, Mo.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Mindrup continued her education at the Loveland Academy of Fine Arts and the Los Angeles Academy of Art. Her studies include drawing and illustration under the instruction of Glenn Vilppu and Tony Ryder and painting under the instruction of David Leffel.
Mindrup's client list includes Kiewit Corporation, Boys Town, Creighton University, Walgreens Corporation, Boys Town National Research Hospital, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and Miller Brewing Company.
"I simply love to draw and paint," she said. "I try to capture the essence of a person, landscape or still life. I hope others will enjoy looking at my work as much as I enjoy creating it."
