MARYVILLE, Mo. - Two Food Network stars, Adam Gertler and Kevin Roberts, are bringing their delicious acts to Northwest this month.

The finalists from season four of "The Next Food Network Star" will be demonstrating simple and easy ways to cook healthy meals.

The event will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, in the Mary Linn Auditorium at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts. Admission is free.

After his run on "The Next Food Network Star," Gertler went on to star in his own Food Network show, "Will Work for Food." Roberts, "The Food Dude," went on to write two cookbooks, "Munchies" and "Cooking in the Kitchen," and has become the spokesperson for brands such as French's Mustard and Fiji Water.

"We have never had anybody from the Food Network come to campus," said Angela Wasko, Student Activities Council lecture chairperson. "Food is something that affects students everyday, so we can all learn something from these guys."

SAC Speaks, Student Activities Council Lecture Committee, is responsible for bringing both chefs to campus. The SAC Lecture Committee provides students with speakers who discuss current events and can relate to college students' everyday lives. The committee aims to stimulate the minds of students with speakers who share stories that make them think, laugh and reflect.
