MARYVILLE, Mo. - Brett Ratner's lecture, scheduled for Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m., has been postponed until a later date.
Ratner, one of the highest-grossing film directors in history, was to appear at Northwest as part of the SAC Speaks lecture series. He issued this statement this afternoon via Greater Talent Network, Inc.
It's with sorrow that I'm forced to inform your campus and community that I'm unable to appear in Maryville tomorrow as I'd so enthusiastically intended. I ask the pardon of the professional activity staff and students who promoted my appearance & planned my itinerary. Please understand how deeply I regret having to deliver this news last-minute; it was an honor to be invited and it's a commitment I take seriously. Because of circumstances beyond my control, I'm indebted to Northwest Missouri State University for the opportunity to work with me to find a reschedule date this spring to deliver my presentation.
Thank you in advance for your consideration,
