Applicants sought for Leon F. Miller graduate scholarship
MARYVILLE, Mo. - Applications are being accepted in the graduate office for the Leon F. Miller Graduate Grant for Graduate Studies.
The scholarship, named for the University's first graduate dean, is awarded to two degree-seeking graduate students each year it is available. This year, $450 may be awarded for 2010-2011. Two scholarships of $225 may be awarded to students selected who meet all eligibility requirements.
To be eligible for consideration, students must:
- Submit a complete application to the graduate office
- Be fully accepted into a graduate program
- Be enrolled in nine graduate hours
- Have an Approved Program Form on file in the graduate office
A Graduate Council subcommittee will select two students from the eligible applicants to receive the awards in 2010-2011. They may also consider scholastic standing or financial need to determine the recipients.
Applications should be submitted to the graduate office with an unofficial graduate transcript from CatPAWS. Graduate students in their first trimester at Northwest should submit a copy of their current class schedule. Applications should be submitted by Feb. 15.
