Free self-defense class offered to women

MARYVILLE, Mo. - All women are invited to a self-defense training class, beginning on Sunday, Feb. 28.

The free class will be 12 hours over a span of five nights. Class times will be 4 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 28, and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, March 1-4. The classes will be in the Support Staff Building, located just north of Thompson-Ringold. The last class will include a simulation exercise.

The class is open to the public, but space is limited. Women must sign up and plan to attend most of the training. Contact Kristina Martinez in the University Police Department at 660.562.1254 or khargin@nwmissouri.edu.
