Dr. M. Abdul Mottaleb, an analytical chemist in Northwest's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, has been selected to serve as an editorial board member for the Maejo International Journal of Science and Technology.
The MIJST is an online journal covering all branches of science and technology. Mottaleb will serve on the editorial board for two years.
Mottaleb, who has been an analytical chemist at the CIE since July, is currently contacting and managing personnel and organizing analytical and bioanalytical, biochemistry and nanomaterials laboratories in the CIE for academic and entrepreneurial resources. He said he is accomplishing this in a "synergistic way that fosters the growth and success of tenant businesses, advances the educational development of Northwest students and provides opportunities for research for the University's faculty."
Prior to joining Northwest, Mottaleb was a research professor and scientist at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where he conducted research with pharmaceuticals and personal care products and nitro aromatics through enzymatic metabolic processes in living organisms.
