The Northwest Orchestra will present its fall concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, in the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building's Charles Johnson Theater. The concert is free and open to the public.
Three faculty members and pianists from the Department of Music - Dr. Ernest Kramer, Dr. Charles Badami and Dr. Anthony Olson - will be featured as guest artists.
The 55-member orchestra is directed by Carl Kling, assistant professor of music.
Started 10 years ago, the Northwest Orchestra is the newest of the University's large ensembles. This chamber orchestra performs one concert per trimester and is open to all students on campus, regardless of major. Musical selections range from the Baroque to the Modern periods, with a varied mixture of styles.
