Dr. John Gallaher, a prize-winning poet and assistant professor of English at Northwest, is the featured author of this year's third Local Authors Luncheon.
The luncheon, sponsored by the Bearcat Bookstore, is open to the public and begins at noon Tuesday, Nov. 17, in the J.W. Jones Student Union's First Ladies Dining Room. Attendees are invited to bring their own lunch, and complimentary beverages and desserts will be provided.
Gallaher will give a 15-minute presentation and read from his books "Map of the Folded World" and "The Little Book of Guesses." A question-and-answer session will follow, and both books will be available for purchase in the Bearcat Bookstore.
Bearcat Bookstore Manager Scott Yocom said he is pleased with the success of the Local Authors Luncheon, a series that was started in September, and is currently planning three luncheons for next trimester.
