Three area legislators, Rep. Mike Thomson, Sen. Brad Lager and Rep. Rob Schaaf, will address challenges facing higher education at a 7 p.m. forum Tuesday, Nov. 3, in the J.W. Jones Student Union Ballroom on the Northwest campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Northwest's Political Science Club is sponsoring the forum, and club members will serve as the evening's moderators. The group is sponsored by Dr. David McLaughlin, associate professor of history, humanities, philosophy and political science.
McLaughlin said the legislators will first discuss higher education challenges in the state of Missouri and then focus on how these challenges impact Northwest students.
The legislators' remarks will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
