Annual library symposium attracts professionals from 24 states and Canada
The ninth annual Brick and Click Libraries Symposium occurs on the Northwest campus Friday, Nov. 6, with more than 150 academic librarians and other participants attending. The conference attendees represent 70 institutions from 24 states and Canada.
The symposium, which takes place on the third floor of the J.W. Jones Student Union, was created to provide a professional development forum for academic librarians in the four-state region. Each year since the conference was initiated, the event has attracted a growing number of librarians from other regions of the country.
Information Librarian and Assistant Professor Carolyn Johnson and Electronic Serials Specialist Kathy Ferguson co-chair the symposium's planning and coordination team, which worked throughout the year to plan the event.
Frank Baudino, head librarian for information services, and Connie Ury, library outreach coordinator, serve as managing editors of the proceedings, which are published each year on the Educational Resources Information Center database. Proceedings links are available at www.brickandclick.org . Click "program" and then "previous year's programs."
