Northwest students need to sign up by 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, for Career Services' Mock Interview Day, which will take place Wednesday, Sept. 30, on the third floor of the J.W. Jones Student Union.
Mock Interview Day is a chance for students to practice their interviewing skills with employers and other professionals and is open to all majors. Career Services invites a mix of employers to campus for this event based on requests from faculty and a statistical analysis of previous events.
Each mock interview session lasts about 40 minutes and includes a 20-minute interview followed by resume evaluation and feedback, when employers offer suggestions for improvement.
Career Services also is offering "walk-in" resume review sessions Wednesday, Sept. 30. This service provides students the chance to gain feedback on how to improve their resume by meeting with one of the participating employers. The critique, open to all students, will last about 10 minutes and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is not required. Participants should sign-in at the Career Services registration table located at the top of the main staircase on the third floor of the J.W. Jones Student Union.
