March 27, 2009
The Northwest Presidential Search Committee has scheduled meetings for the last Sunday and Monday in March at the Hilton Kansas City Airport, 8801 Northwest 112th Street in Kansas City.
According to a notice issued by the Board of Regents secretary, the committee will convene at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 29, and 8 a.m. Monday, March 30. The tentative agenda for both meetings includes a vote to enter into closed session pursuant to R.S. MO 610.021(3).
The panel, assisted by Jon McRae & Associates Inc., an Atlanta-based executive search firm, is currently screening candidates who have applied to succeed Dr. Dean L. Hubbard as president of Northwest Missouri State University. Hubbard will retire this summer after 25 years as the school's top administrator.
The search committee is charged with narrowing the number of candidates down to a list of finalists before the final selection is made by Northwest's Board of Regents.
Chaired by Board of Regents President James W. "Bill" Loch, the 13-member panel consists two other regents and members representing the student body, faculty, staff, Northwest Foundation, Northwest Alumni Association and the Maryville community.
