Pianists Charles Badami, instructor of music, and Dr. Anthony Olson, associate professor of music, will perform in concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, in Northwest's Charles Johnson Theater.
The program will include solo piano music by Franz Liszt and Louis Moreau Gottschalk as well as music for two pianos by Brahms and Debussy.
Badami and Olson are both members of the University's music faculty.
Badami joined the faculty at the beginning of the fall 2008 trimester and came to Northwest from Northwestern University. While living in the Chicago area, he was a frequent concert performer and served as pianist for the Chicago Symphony Chorus.
Olson has been at Northwest nine years and frequently plays solo and chamber music recitals and appears with orchestras throughout the United States and Europe.
Charles Johnson Theater is located in the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building on the Northwest campus. Admission is to the concert is free. For more information about music programs and concerts at Northwest, call the Department of Music at 660.562.1315.
