Dr. Charles A. McAdams, dean of Northwest's College of Arts and Sciences, recently spoke on the use of quality management principles in higher education at Colorado State University in Fort Collins and has been invited to make a similar presentation at Emporia (Kan.) State University in March.
McAdams' role as a category co-leader for Northwest's system of continuous process improvement, known as the Culture of Quality, means that he frequently takes part in discussions about the benefits of quality management techniques at higher education workshops and conferences across the country.
His presentation at Colorado State focused on comparing quality management principles with Baldrige National Quality Award criteria as well as Northwest's seven-step planning process.
Dr. McAdams has also presented on the use of quality principles in higher education at Kainan University in Taipei, Taiwan.
