Northwest asks employees, students to pitch in for 2012 Recyclemania competition
Northwest Missouri State University will aim to prove its recycling prowess against other colleges and universities again this year when the 2012 RecycleMania competition kicks off Sunday, Feb. 5.

Submissions sought for annual library research contest
Entries are now being accepted for the B.D. Owens Library Research Awards contest, which honors and highlights the outstanding scholarly and research activities of Northwest Missouri State University undergraduate students. 

Northwest to host annual FAFSA Frenzy Feb. 12 for current, prospective college students
The FAFSA is the first step all students must take to obtain financial assistance to attend college. The Northwest event will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, in Colden Hall Room 1200. Parking is available in the faculty lot on the northeast corner of the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building.

Theater students bring home honors from regional festival
Twenty-five Northwest Missouri State University theater students spent the week of Jan. 15-21 attending the Region 5 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, and returned with a batch of honors in the areas of directing, design, acting and stage work.

Northwest Missouri State University theater students this week learned the performance arts of pulling hair, strangling, throwing punches, dragging someone across a floor and even dying from a man whose taught television, film and Broadway actors for nearly a decade.

Northwest Missouri State University on Saturday, Feb. 4, will host the Special Olympics Missouri Northwest Area Basketball Tournament, which will bring more than 250 athletes from across northwest Missouri to Maryville.

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Office of the Registrar and the Graduate School at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville have released the names of students who completed requirements for degrees at the conclusion of the 2011 fall trimester.
