Originally from Long Island, New York, Sue graduated from the College of William and Mary with a B.A. in History. After graduation, she moved to Washington, D.C. and worked as a Research Associate for Trade and Professional Associations. In 2008, she earned a Masters in Higher Education Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University.
Sue moved to Northwest Missouri in 1999, when her husband Dan accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Political Science at Northwest Missouri State University. She and Dan have 14 year old twins, Benjamin and Sarah, who keep them busy shuttling between sporting events and dance practices. In her spare time, Sue enjoys needlework, reading and singing. She is a member of the RiverSong Chorus of Sweet Adelines.
