Margaret was born and raised in Chicago and is a graduate of Blackburn College at Carlinville, Illinois. With her Bachelor’s degree in History and Leadership Studies, she has worked in the student development field in various capacities. She has served in rural, urban, and suburban communities with young adults in residential life, afterschool programs, summer camps, and youth ministry. She has also completed the DeVos Urban Leadership Training Program for nationwide youth leaders, sponsored by the DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative. Presently, she is enrolled in the Master of Science in Education for Guidance and Counseling at Northwest Missouri State University.
This is her third year at the Missouri Academy as a Residential Counselor on Second East and she loves it. In addition, Margaret loves music, learning, dancing and has an enormous personal library.
