Residential Counselor

Hayley started at the Missouri Academy as a Residential Counselor during the summer of 2017. She graduated from Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa in the spring of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Secondary Education and minor in Political Studies. During her undergrad she was involved across her small campus in a variety of roles involving Student Leadership and a handful of clubs and organizations. During her time at Grand View, Hayley discovered a passion for student leadership and involvement as well as mental health awareness through her involvement in Please Pass the Love, a youth mental health initiative.

Hayley spent the summer taking care of her mother through her battle with breast cancer and running her own political campaign. Hayley is currently involved in research surrounding women’s suffragists in Iowa and is getting ready to apply to graduate school to begin a PhD in history. She would like to either continue working with students in a student affairs/leadership setting or an academic setting as a faculty member at a university.

Hayley enjoys binge watching TV shows on Netflix, baking, obsessing over her dog and traveling.
