Linking to articles from library databases:

 1. Find the persistent URL (the stable, permanent URL rather than the long      search query URL that shows in the address box when you retrieve an article)

 2. Add special code to the persistent URL using a Link Generator tool.

 Why? This enables students who are off-campus to access the article through  their northwest username and e-mail password.
