 Refer to Adding an Entry into a Course Webliography to help add information literacy components to your online course site. This page provides students with assistance in selecting quality sites, directions for adding the selected site to the course webliography, and an example of a finished entry.

 Directions for Off-Campus Access provides information about how to search any library database when away from the campus.

 Use Google's Advanced Search to find article submission guidelines. For example, to search for submission guidelines for the Journal of Distance Education, do the following:

 Browse Table of Contents demonstrates how to electronically "browse" the Table of Contents in current or past issues of specific journal titles indexed in EBSCOhost, InfoTrac, and WilsonWeb.

[ Cabell's Directory of Publishing Opportunities currently provides access to publishing opportunities in Curriculum & Methods, Psychology & Administration and Psychology & Psychiatry.

 Collection Recommendations provides online forms for requesting library materials for the collection by offering purchase recommendations by title, author, or topic.

 College Source features more than 37,000 U.S. and international college and university catalogs in their original, cover-to-cover format, including graduate and professional schools. The site provides keyword full-text catalog search capability.

 Copyright Permission provides information about copyright guidelines for placing materials on reserve. Tips for recognizing copyrighted material and obtaining copyright permission are also available including a sample letter to send to publishers for gaining copyright permission. This letter and the guidelines can also be used for distribution of copyrighted materials in online courses and coursepacks.

 Periodical Titles provides an A-Z listing (including dates and content coverage) of periodical indexes, online databases, and newspaper sources at Owens Library.

 Ergonomics Resources provides links to informational and commercial web sites about posture, exercises types of injuries, furniture, keyboards, software, etc.

 Faculty Office Calls is an information assistance service for developing research assignments for your classes, searching for information for research articles or projects, or learning how to use new library resources. Fill out a brief online form to request an appointment.

 The Fair Use Questionnaire helps you determine whether a copyrighted source falls under fair use guidelines as defined by Section 107 of the Copyright Law of the United States of America.

 Please recommend Help with Research to your students. The popular service teaches students how to locate and evaluate information on a topic for an assignment or paper. A similar service called Faculty Office Calls is available for faculty to support teaching or research projects.

The Northwest Missouri State University Library Catalog provides access to the combined collections of MOBIUS, a consortium of over 50 academic libraries in Missouri.

 Library Instruction is available by calling 1669 (100 level courses) or 1393 (200+ level courses).

 Linking to Articles provides information on how to link to articles in eCompanion/eCollege and how to locate persistent (stable) URLs.

 Listservs describes what listservs are, how they work, and how to participate. It also provides access to listserv directories for locating a listserv pertaining to your area of interest.

 Locating Peer-Reviewed Periodicals provides methods of determining which journals are refereed, as listed in Ulrich's Periodicals Directory (online), EBSCOhost, InfoTrac, and WilsonWeb.

 Locating Web Sources provides information on obtaining web resources that have been evaluated by information professionals or experts in their respective fields.

 Using Online Reserve Request Forms, place items on Reserve in the library or request removal of your reserve materials.

An Online Search fill-in form is available for requesting an online search in a database Owens Library does not already have available on Search for Articles. The search will be conducted by a librarian within 48 hours of your request, M-F. Results will be sent to your Northwest e-mail address.

 Placing InfoMarks in eCollege is a step-by-step guide to help instructors link to selected Thomson/Gale InfoTrac articles within the eCollege environment.

 Plagiarism provides tips for preventing, avoiding, and diagnosing plagiarism.

 Resources for Education Practitioner Faculty members provides links to information resources that can be utilized within eColleg/eCompanion.
