refdesk.com This site is almost overwhelming because of the large number of sources included. It's not the place to begin researching because you may get lost in the maze. However, if you are having trouble locating information, it may link to that source you couldn't find anywhere else.
Restrict Search Engine Results & Use Reference Tools This page of tips for using Google and AlltheWeb to focus searches and as reference tools was created by Connie Ury, a librarian at Northwest Missouri State University.
SparkNotes SparkNotes is an online form of "cliff notes", covering topics from Shakespeare, poetry, literature, drama and Philosophy. The site also includes key facts, quotations, quizzes, study questions, characters, character analysis, themes, etc. on other subjects, such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Psychology, Biology, Astronomy, and Computer Science. Also included are Reference tools, message boards, current events and classic books online. The site is free, but requires users to establish an account and to log in.
