How do I access the library's databases when I'm not on campus?

There are step-by-step instructions available on the library's Web page. You need to use your NW username and your NW Windows password when asked for a username and password. If you have any problems downloading the software, please call Academic Computing at 660-562-1634 for assistance. Where can I find information on citing materials in my paper?

The librarians have developed guides for citing print sources, full-text periodical articles from online databases such as EBSCOhost and InfoTrac, and Web pages. Examples from four style manuals (MLA, APA, Turabian, and CBE - Scientific) are available at Citing Sources. If your source isn't listed on the page, the complete style manuals are available in the library.
Where do I look for articles on my topic?

There are prioritized lists of databases to use for each major on campus from the Search for Articles Web page. For example, if you're taking a Biology course and need to find articles for that class (even if your major is Mathematics), click on Biological Sciences in the Find the Subject Database You Need list. The titles are in recommended order for usefulness to find articles on topics common to each major.
