| Many of Owens Library's web periodical
indexes do not have backfiles that extend past 1980. For many specific
journal titles our backfile is far less extensive. Owens Library does have
several physical education titles that have backfiles that go deeper than
1980. Some of those are located in our print/microform holdings on the
2nd Floor of Owens Library. Below are a few examples of physical education
journals that have research articles with pre-1980 holdings: Research Quarterly (Continued by Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport and preceded by Research quarterly of the American Association for Health, Physical Education, and Recreation below) 1939-1979 You can browse the indexes and/or the tables of contents for specific issues for this title from 1930-1983 in the periodicals area on the 2nd Floor of Owens Library.
