Primarily an index for the visual arts, this index also covers performing arts selectively.
  Historical Abstracts (EBSCOhost)
Indexes and abstracts world periodical literature in history, excluding the US and Canada. Search for articles in this database that address the historical context of dance. Especially strong in its European coverage.
  Humanities Index

Covers all aspects of the humanities including history, literature, and the performing arts. This index was formerly called Social Sciences & Humanities Index and before that International Index to Periodicals (Reference 1st Floor North Wall Shelves 016.3 S67s, print only 1907-1974)

  Use words and phrases that you have already learned about in class lectures, in your syllabus, in your textbook, in encyclopedias, dictionaries and other books you have found as keywords in your periodical database searches.

  Use bibliographies in the periodical articles you find to locate other relevant books and periodical articles.
  Interlibrary loan those articles not available in Owens Library.
