This site, part of NASA's Learning Technologies Project, provides activities for students and instructional materials for teachers. Topics include Oceans, Earth Resources, Weather, and Space and Astronomy.

Problems and Puzzles are arranged under the topics of Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry and Word Problems. This site is sponsored by the Math Forum.

This site from the Math Forum features math activities and projects for middle school students.

[ square ] Projects, Fun Sites and Field Trips for Middle School
This site provides links to projects such as the Geometry Forum Problem of the Week/Month, the Great Penny Toss, and MathMagic. It also offers a comprehensive list of fun sites for middle school children, and links to virtual field trips are included.

The Northwest Regional Education Laboratory provides a comprehensive list of mathematics lesson plans organized according to Subjects.

[ square ] Teachers Helping Teachers: Math Lesson Plans
The Teachers Helping Teachers project, directed by Dr. Scott Mandel, a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Southern California, supplies signed lesson plans submitted by teachers. Topics include geometry, money, story problems, making a budget and many others.

This site, sponsored by AskERIC, provides math lesson plans for a wide variety of topics, including algebra, geometry, measurement, probability, arithmetic, number theory, statistics and other useful links.

Online Mathematics Journals


Journal articles are indexed via EBSCOhost at Search for Articles. EBSCOhost is a periodical database searchable at many Missouri educational institutions. Users can limit searches to specific magazine titles (Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School or Mathematics Teacher, for example) on the beginning EBSCOhost search screen.
