Techniques for Conferencing & Collaboration

[Subject Search]
A SUBJECT search only looks for words or phrases in an A to Z list of subjects and retrieves articles indexed under those subjects. This type of search finds articles focused on one specific concept.		 [Keyword Search]
A KEYWORD search finds words or phrases in article titles, authors, subjects, journal names or abstracts. This type of search casts a wider net and finds articles focused on more than one concept. Use an asterisk to retrieve any word ending and quotation marks around phrases.

Collaboration Between Regular & Special Education Teachers

  1. In the first Find box, type teacher collaboration
  2. Click the drop down arrow in the first box and click SU Descriptors (All)
             This will search for teacher collaboration as a subject
  3. In the second Find box, type special education teachers
  4. Click the drop down arrow in the second box and click SU Descriptors (All)
         This will search for special education teachers as a subject
  5. Click [Search]

  1. Click Thesaurus
  2. In the Browse for box, type regular and special education relationship
  3. Click [Browse]
  4. Click the check box next to Regular and Special Education Relationship
  5. Click [Add]
  6. Click in the Find box after (DE "Regular and Special Education Relationship"), and type and (conferencing or collaboration)
  7. Click [Search]

  1. In the first Find box, type consultation programs
  2. Click the drop down arrow in the first box and click SU Descriptors (All)
             This will search for consultation programs as a subject
  3. In the second Find box, type special education teachers
  4. Click the drop down arrow in the second box and click SU Descriptors (All)
         This will search for special education teachers as a subject
  5. Click [Search]
