» Copyright Law in Cyberspace
The Office of General Counsel in the University of Texas system provides a great page with links to intellectual property issues, a crash course in copyright, licensing and other contracts, the Regents' rules and regulations for UT regarding intellectual property, and a list of online copyright presentations. The University of Texas also has a Copyright Law for Distance Learning page that provides an excellent overview of the subject. Other links include agreements, forms and samples.

» Copyright Management Center
Although the Copyright Management Center "serves the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and larger Indiana University community with copyright issues arising in the creation of original works and in the use of existing copyrighted works for teaching, research, and service," it has helpful links for any university. These links include "Fair Use for Teaching & Research," "Rights and Claims of Ownership," "Distance Education," "Library Issues," "Giving and Getting Permissions," and "Special Rules for Special Media." This is an excellent site for general, basic information for anyone starting to look at intellectual property and copyright issues.

According to the executive summary of the report (in the pdf file - Adobe Acrobat):
