4000 Years of Women in Science Biographies
This site is a section of the 4000 Years of Women in Science page. It houses biographies and biographical information of important women scientists over the past 4000 years. This site was created by Dr. Deborah Crocker in collaboration with the University of Alabama. Dr. Crocker is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Alabama. She received her Ph.D. degree in 1987 from the University of Virginia.

This resource is a searchable database containing biographies and links to biographical information on important American poets of the past and present. It also contain current information on poetry, audio clips, a discussion forum, and information on the Academy's current projects.

This site has a huge archive containing biographies and links to biographical information on a multitude of women writers of the past and present from around the world. It houses a searchable database that allows one to search for writers by time period, name, or by country. This site is maintained by Mary Mark Ockerbloom, a former research programmer from Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science with credentials in psychology and research.De Imperatoribus Romanis: An Online Encyclopedia of Roman Emperors
"DIR is an on-line encyclopedia on the rulers of the Roman empire from Augustus (27 BC-AD 14) to Constantine XI Palaeologus (1449-1453). The encyclopedia consists of (1) an index of all the emperors who ruled during the empire's 1500 years, (2) a growing number of biographical essays on the individual emperors, (3) family trees ("stemmata") of important imperial dynasties, (4) an index of significant battles in the empire's history, (5) a growing number of capsule descriptions and maps of these battles, and (6) maps of the empire at different times.
