Do the presentation/paper proposals go through a peer review process?
Yes, they go through a peer review process. The reviewers are our team heads (committee chairpersons) for Access Services, Technical Services, Reference/Public Services, Collection Management/Development, and Information (Reference and IT) Librarians.
Can more than one person present during the same 10-minute Lightning Round presentation?
No, because of the short presentation time.
As a vendor, can I submit a proposal for a presentation?
Only proposals from vendors submitted in conjunction with a librarian at an institution of higher education will be considered in the proposal evaluation process.
Will I have a live Internet connection in my presentation area?
Yes.
Would it be possible to get a flip chart stand for my presentation?
Yes. Contact Sarah Park with inquiries.
How does one purchase additional copies of the proceedings?
To order copies of previous years' proceedings complete and mail the Proceedings Order Form.
As a presenter, is there a discount for attending the conference? If so, how is this applied?
Yes, the presenter fee is $100. If you are a presenter, mark "$100.00 presenter" in the Conference Registration Fees section of the form and send that amount with your registration form.

The registration form says that registration after October 11, 2013, won't include lunch. Can people still register after October 11th (but not be fed)?
Yes, people can register the day of the symposium if they wish, but late registration fees don't include lunch or the proceedings. However, food is available in the Student Union and a copy of the proceedings may be purchased at the registration desk.

What is your policy on cancellations?
Cancellations must be made via email to Kathy Hart by 4:00 p.m. on October 18, 2013. Cancellations will result in a refund of the fee minus $20.00 for the proceedings (which will be mailed to the cancelled registrant after the symposium). Substitutions are welcome at any time, just let Kathy (660.562.1846) know before 1:00 p.m. on October 30th.
Have I registered?
Registrants are notified by email upon the receipt of their registration. Have I signed up for the Thursday night dinner?
Those attending the Thursday night dinner are notified by email upon the receipt of their registration. If you did not receive this notice, please verify your registration by contacting Kathy Hart (660.562.1846).
How do I register after the deadline?
To register after the deadline, please contact Kathy Hart (660.562.1846).Is there is handicapped parking near the Student Union?
Yes, with your handicapped license plate or hang tag, handicapped parking is available in Lot 57 next to the Student Union. If by chance all of the handicapped parking spaces in Lot 57 are full, please give Carolyn Johnson a call at 660.562.1393 and she will contact Campus Safety to make other arrangements for you.- Go north on I-29, passing through St. Joseph.
- Proceed north, and exit on U.S. Highway 71 North to Maryville, exit #56A.
- After exiting, go 35 miles on Highway 71 to Maryville.
- Take Business 71 into town; it becomes Main Street
- Proceed on Main and take a left on 4th Street.
- Continue on 4th Street (it changes to College Avenue); you will pass the football stadium and a large white building on your right.
- After the large white building (Mary Linn Performing Arts Center) take a right on College Drive.
- Take a right onto Memorial Drive.
- Take a right to enter Lot 57.

Ask at the Registration Desk for directions back to Lot 63.
What if I get a parking ticket from Northwest?

Is there a shuttle from the Kansas City Airport to Maryville?
No, but there are car rental companies on site at the Kansas City Airport.
Are all of the meeting rooms in the same building?
Yes, all of the meeting rooms are on the third floor of the Student Union. For locations of meeting rooms view a map of the Student Union third floor.
Do you have any door prizes?
Yes, both silly and serious!
Will it be possible to take a tour of Owens Library?
Yes, inquire at the Registration desk.
Where can I make photocopies?
In the event of a emergency; ask at the Registration Desk. Otherwise, please bring any presentation handouts (or a URL where handouts can be accessed) with you to the symposium.
You may also post presentation and handouts URLs to the Brick and Click blog.
Where can I check my email?
The email stations are located near the Registration table.
What are the networking opportunities at Brick & Click?
Networking opportunities include the Pre-symposium Dinner, breakfast, lunch, and break. The attendee list in also in the program, so you can contact colleagues after the symposium.
Is there recommended lodging for the symposium?
All hotels listed on our Lodging page are recommended!
I am a L.S. graduate student. How do I verify?
Submit a letter of verification from your advisor or the dean of the program with your registration form.
