• Go to the Owens Library Search for Articles page
• Scroll down in the "Databases" box & click Readers' Guide Retrospective

• If is not yellow, click
• Click in the first Search For: entry box & type a word (Do not use this method to search for phrases)
• Type any other terms you wish to connect with the Boolean Operators and, or, & not in the second & third Search For: entry boxes
• Click the appropriate Boolean operator(s), using the drop down arrows in front of the second & third Search For: entry boxes
• Click
• Your search results will appear on the screen
• Follow the directions in Locating Periodicals in Owens Library to check the Library Catalog to determine if Owens Library subscribes to a periodical listed in the results

• If is not yellow, click
• Click in the first Search For: entry box & type a word (Do not use this method to search for phrases)

• Click in the blue left column
• Click in the Search For: entry box and type your subject
• Click
• Once you have identified the subject you would like to search, copy the exact subject heading
• Click in the blue left column
• Paste or type your subject (exactly as it appeared in the Thesaurus) in the first Search For: entry box
• Click the drop down arrow in the first scroll box, scroll down, and click Historical Subject(s) or
   Subject(s) (You may have to try both methods)
• Type any other words you wish to search for in the second and third Search For: entry boxes (Do not use this method to search for phrases)
• Click the appropriate Boolean operator(s), using the drop down arrows in front of the second & third Search For: entry boxes
• Click
• Your search results will appear on the screen

• Click the check box(es) next to number(s) of the articles you choose
• Click (bottom of screen) to view a list of marked records
• Click in the blue left column
• Select options to e-mail, print or save citations & available full text
• Click to e-mail, print or save

• Click
• Enter the full title of the periodical (e.g., Science) in the first Browse For: entry box
• Click the drop down arrow in the first In: scroll box click Journal Name
• Click to view results
• Your search results will appear on the screen
• Click on the title of the periodical
• Your search results will appear on the screen
• Follow the directions in Locating Periodicals in Owens Library to check the Library Catalog to determine if Owens Library subscribes to a periodical listed in the results

• If is not yellow, click
• Enter the full title of the journal (e.g., Science) in the first Search For: entry box
• Click the drop down arrow in the first As: scroll box click Journal Name
• Click the drop down arrow in front of the second Search for: entry box & click and
• Click in the second Search for: entry box & type cancer (Do not use this method to search for phrases)
• Click to view results
• Your search results will appear on the screen
