Karen Detrixhe is from northcentral Kansas and grew up a Heritage Spanish speaker. She enjoys visiting family in Argentina and international traveling. As a graduate student she studied in Madrid on a Rotary scholarship and later taught professionally in Spain in Santiago de Compostela. Her teaching experiences include college and high school Spanish, and serving K-12 public school teachers in ESL professional development. In her spare time she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, outdoor hiking or camping, and trying to better her photography skills.
