Guestbook

Hi John,
You might remember me as Laura Pierson. I was editor of the Missourian and graduated in '93. You might also remember me for posting the signs of "John Jasinski sings." I believe you released two albums? That guy really looked like you.

Kidding aside, I want to congratulate you on your appointment as president of Northwest. I was so excited to hear the news and very proud to have one of our own in this position. I know you will do great things for the university.

Your family must be so proud. I wish you all the best. Go Bearcats!

Laura Cline
Alumnae, 1993

Dr. Jasinski,
Congratulations on this most prestigious of honors. I look forward to getting to know you again in this position when I come back to attend Northwest in the fall of 2010.

I'm not certain if I ever mentioned it, but thanks for the rides to and from all those St. Greg's basketball games. The kindness of your family will always remain close to my heart.

P.S. Give Mrs. Jasinski my regards and tell her I'm sorry for giving her such a hard time during her substituting days when Matt and I were in (I believe) sixth grade! Say hi to Matt for me as well if you would.

Congratulations once more. Best of luck!

Eric C. Reeves
Future student, former classmate of Matt Jasinski

John:

Congratulations, and we are really proud of you. Two of your "old" professors at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln plan on attending your installation. We know it will be a busy time for you, but we wanted you to know that we take great pride in your successes and especially your installation as President of Northwest Missouri State University. By the way, Jackie Elliott, a member of your staff, graduated this summer with her degree from UNL. It was my privilege to serve as her advisor and Al Seagren was a member of her committee.

Again, congratulations and best wishes,

Ron Joekel
Professor Emeritus, University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Al Seagren
Professor, University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Dr. Jasinski,
Just want to wish you the best of luck and let you know that you have thousands of Bearcats supporting you through this new, amazing journey! God Bless.

Alumnus 2006

John and Denise,
It's great to have you both back at Northwest! Congratulations on your installation and leadership vision. I appreciate the symbol of the open door to the office and hope I can stop in from time to time and share a cookie and conversation. Your mutual energy and enthusiasm and desire for communication is just what we need to lead us in the years ahead.

Janice Brandon Falcone

Congratulations to President Jasinski and his family and a hearty welcome to the Northwest family! I am excited about the high energy and inclusive collegiality that President Jasinski brings with him to this position. The strong focus on communication and shared governance that has been put before us, in these early weeks of this new presidency, will carry us into a new and exciting era. Hooray for Dr. J.

Dr. Carla Edwards

Just wanted to drop a note to say congratulations to Jazz from a mass communication alumnae. I remember when he told me I could graduate in 3 1/2 years and helped me get there. Good memories. He knew how to get things done then and I am sure he will do the same as Northwest's new president. The Bearcats are in good hands as I was back then.

Congratulations Dr. Jasinski, you will be the fourth president that I have worked under and each one has had their own style and made their own contributions. You will bring a fresh perspective and new energy to Northwest and have already begun to build upon the strong tradition of Northwest excellence. I look forward to the next few years.
