General Information

Our Missouri-London Program is a consortium of participating Missouri universities that come together to teach their own curriculum abroad. Courses are taught at by Missouri professors at the CAPA Study Center in London. This program offers semester and summer sessions in course studies and internships.

Understanding Britain Today - required course

This course is the showcase course of the program covering a different topic each week relating to British history, culture and civilization. Distinguished British and European lecturers provide detailed analysis of each subject followed by a full or half-day course related field trip. Excursions in and out of London are included in students' fees to places such as: Parliament, Inns of Court, Bath, Stonehenge, Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, Dover, Canterbury, etc. (Required of all students)Internships

Internships are available to qualified juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Different internship opportunities are available based on the student's field of study, background, and interests.

Language

Since the host language is English, all courses and day-to-day living are in English.

Expenses

Fees will vary depending on semester or summer sessions. The MO-London program fee includes:

  • Accomodation in shared flats (apartments) in London
  • Weekly program of subsidized cultural and social activities
  • Classrooms and adjust lecturers
  • Subsidized course related excursions
  • Services of CAPA Coordinator, support staff, and visiting faculty
  • World Student Health Insurance

Housing

Students will live in apartments in central London (referred to as flats in the UK) in multi-bedded rooms that include bedroom and study furniture. Linens are provided but students should bring their own towels with them from home. You will have a shared kitchen available within the building so you can cook your own meals. Basic cooking utensils are provided. All flats are easily accessible by Underground ("tube") service from nearby stations or by bus.
