Our Asia Program includes five universities in three different countries, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. Those universities are
The courses offered at these universities are all taught in English. It is recommended that in addition to regular courses the student follows a language for an easier transition.
Tuition is paid to Northwest. Housing and meals are paid to the institution abroad. Ulsan University provides free housing and a monthly $270 meal stipend.
More than fifty nationalities attend Sophia. The campus population is about 11,900 students with scholars from over 20 countries. Curriculum is set up for specialization or general education. International awareness, Christian principles, and high academic standards exist at Sophia.
All courses offered to exchange students are offered in English. There are also intensive Japanese language courses offered for survival outside of the university.
Sophia university offers three types of housing.
Kyung Hee University established the United Nations International Day of Peace and received the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education. It has 3 campuses in Seoul, Suwon and Gwangeung and has 30,000 students. It offers state of the art facilities with modern design.
Courses are taught in English. Language courses are also available for survival outside of the university. If a student has enough Korean language proficiency, he or she can take regular academic courses with other Korean students.
Kyung Hee offers a guaranteed placement in a dormitory, either on the Seoul Campus or Suwon Campus depending on the student's major. Learn More »
Ulsan is a newly established metropolitan area with a population of about 1 million. The university offers courses in almost every major, and also offers general education requirements. The campus is very modern and up to date, also offering many extracurricular activities. The University of Ulsan sets its goals based on its motto: UOU is leading the way towards new horizons: truth + service + free will. It was founded by Hyundai Automobile Company and is now known as one of the best private universities in Korea. Hyundai Heavy Industries is also the official sponsor of UOU. Like Northwest Missouri State University, UOU has an arboretum which stretches across campus.
After meeting with our staff to file a Northwest application, you will need to apply to the UOU program here by March 10.
Summer Program at Ulsan University are also available.
Courses are taught in English. Intensive language courses are also offered. In the summer, an intense Korean culture and language course is also offered.
Each student will be accommodated in a newly-built university dormitory with up-to-date facilities, including internet, a cafeteria, a café-like lobby, a library, table tennis and a gym which hosts many activities and a swimming pool.

Yonsei is set on 250 wooded acres in western Seoul on the former site of a Yi Dynasty royal palace and is home of studies for 45,000 enrolled students, which have been recruited from the top 2% of high school graduates throughout Korea. Yonsei offers many types of facilities including on-site counseling centers, fitness centers & gymnasiums, an observatory and much more! There are 12 different locations for dining on campus and over 48 clubs to choose from. About 2/3 of Yonsei's faculty has obtained a doctorate from the U.S.
