Bilateral or Reciprocal Exchanges Agreement set between two institutions with the understanding that students will be exchanged in a one per one basis.
Forms of Payment: Northwest students pay Northwest tuition and housing and meals are paid abroad.
Consortium Exchanges Give students the opportunity to study abroad in thirty nine different countries either by completing courses at study centers designed by the consortium for Americans and international students or by enrollment at a local university.

Forms of Payment: * ISEP -- Northwest tuition and Northwest housing * Missouri-London -- Program fee paid to CAPA (includes courses, housing, and some field trips) * Magellan -- Tuition paid to Northwest; housing and meals are paid abroad * MCTS -- Northwest tuition + program fee (includes resident permit fees, orientation and Roosevelt Academy Student Association fees, required field trips, transcripts, and on-site support. Students are responsible for their own travel, food, and book expenses.
Affiliate Exchanges Programs operated by other institutions or providers. These programs are fee-paid study abroad programs that provide study opportunities beyond those offered through bilateral agreements or consortium agreements. In this type of exchange students complete courses at local universities only.

Faculty-Led Programs
One of our primary tasks in Study Abroad is to assist academic departments in developing faculty-led programs where professors are able to extend their clasroom outside the U.S. for research groups or classroom learning.
