All NW students are insured through TW Lord and associates. ISEP participants are insured through the ISEP program insurance, to see coverage please visit this page.
Included in this health insurance program is access to the 24hr world wide Assistance network for emergency assistance anywhere in the world. Simply call the assistance center toll-free or collect. The telephone numbers are included in your I.D. card and materials.

After your enrollment and payment are processed, an insurance card will be provided by the Study Abroad Office. Keep the card somewhere safe, for example with your passport, and carry a copy of it with you at all times. If you need a replacement card, please e-mail Connie Murphy.
Please note: if you have lost the card, you may still receive medical treatment and file claims.
For regular doctor visits you will usually pay your expenses yourself and then request reimbursement by filing a claim form directly with TW Lord. All claims or inquiries about claims should be sent to:

In some cases, you can show your insurance card and arrange to pay after your insurance claim has been processed. In case that you require hospitalization or you are required to pay a bill that you do not have the money to pay for, T.W. Lord can pay the hospital directly. In these cases please contact T.W. Lord directly by calling 1 (800) 633-2360 or Jeaneth Puriel at (660) 562-1499. If you contact Jeaneth, she will contact T.W. Lord for you.
