Precious Porras

Precious PorrasPrecious is a Program Associate for the Sabatini Multicultural Resource Center. She earned her B.S. in Psychology and Sociology from Northwest Missouri State University in 2002, first in her family! She then received her M.S. in Counseling/Student Personnel from Emporia State University in 2004, again, first in her family! Her work experience is with TRIO programs and multicultural programming.

As an undergraduate she was actively involved with HALO, BSU, and the Gay/Straight Alliance at Northwest Missouri State. Her areas of interest include multiracial identity development and GLBT issues.

In her current position, Precious supervises the Diversity Peer Education Team, presents at the Diversity Training Institute, coordinates the Safe Zone program and organizes various diversity education programs on campus.

When not at work, Precious enjoys playing board games with her husband, playing with her 2 Lab's and catching up on her celebrity gossip!
