NOTES:

• * Airport shuttle fee is included in your Orientation fee of $50. You wont need to pay anything extra for using this service if you arrive on the arrival day.
• If you are travelling as a group please tell us how many people traveling with you and the names of all the people.
• Students arriving after the date of arrival (Check Item 5 on your I-20) will not be accepted into the University.

Option A Instructions:

1. Look on your I-20 for the arrival day (see here for details) and plan to arrive on that day.
2. Send your itinerary and flight information to KBAUD@nwmissouri.edu in the following format:

If you must arrive early:

Option B (Early Arrival with Arranged Airport Shuttle) Instructions ($150 per person):

1. Send your itinerary and flight information to KBAUD@nwmissouri.edu in the following format:

   We will bill your account for the shuttle fee on that day ($150 per person).

OPTION C: (Arrival day or earlier) Don't need an airport shuttle

1. Please notify us (KBAUD@nwmissouri.edu of arrival day and your plans. Please ensure you report to the International Office at 8 a.m. in the Student Union on the day following arrival day listed on your I-20.

OPTION D: (Arrival without notification)

1. Do nothing! Just show up at the Airport and get a taxi from the curb: $275 one way.

If you are Freshmen (1st year student) and under 21 you need to live on-campus for one year. So please complete the Housing form and mail it along with a Cashiers check or International money order (please login to your CATPAWS to fill out the application online). If you are a Transfer/Returning student you can either live on-campus or off-campus. If you want to live off-campus, we will have student assistants helping you with your first night's accommodation on arrival day (see your I-20 for this date) and then we will look for apartments the following day. Please do not buy any Health Insurance in your home country. All international students are required to buy the insurance provided by Northwest Missouri State University. Health insurance is necessary to help cover the extremely high cost of medical care in the United States. It is imperative to have resources to cover costs of possible accidents or unexpected illnesses. In addition, international students are strongly advised to provide health insurance for any dependents accompanying them to the United States. Plans also are available for a student's spouse and children at additional cost. Students learn about the insurance plan details during orientation and you can learn more at www.sas-mn.com.

NOTE: Except for an extremely limited number of students in exchange programs, short term non-degree programs, and government sponsored students (Saudi, Finnish, Swedish, Dutch), ALL degree seeking students will be charged insurance upon enrollment.

Students need to document 2 doses of MMR & 1 dose of Meningitis vaccination and bring proof of immunizations (signed by your doctor). You will be given them here if you do not have them when you arrive. The cost is roughly $190 for MMR and $175 for the Meningitis.

Complete your Health History forms. Send your forms to IIC through Fax (660.562.1546) or e-mail them to IIC@nwmissouri.edu

All new international students must attend the International Student Orientation ($50 fee applied to university bill). Orientation begins promptly at 8:00 AM in the Intercultural & International Center (IIC) on the day after the arrival date specified in Item 5 on your I-20. IIC is located in J. W. Jones Union (Northwest Map).

Please bring your I-20, acceptance letter, passport, Visa, I-94, and immunization records when you come for Orientation in the IIC.

Your bill is due in full immediately after registering and verifying for classes. Your bill can be paid using a payment plan for each semester with interest being charged monthly, if you choose. For more information on fee payment, check Bursar Office page. You can pay in cash or Demand Draft made payable to Northwest Missouri State University. It is neither necessary nor desired to pay your bill ahead of arrival in the United States.
