International Affairs Office
Welcome! We are glad you have found our office's webiste. We hope you can navigate this site easily to find the information you need.
The International Affairs Office provides immigration, arrival, and orientation support for future and current students. We have roughly 270 full time international students at Northwest. International Affairs also supports incoming exchange students, ESL students, and J scholars and students. We pride ourselves on providing ethical, knowledgeable, culturally appropriate, and efficient service to all students, staff, faculty and administrators.
International Affairs works to make our community a better place by building mutual understanding and respect among all citizens of the Earth. Friends of International Students (FIS) works to achieve this lofty goal by matching international students with local families and the Director works with faculty and administration to internationalize the learning environment at Northwest.
Along with the Office of Intercultural Affairs, Study Abroad and the English as a Second Language Program, International Affairs promotes a pluralistic culture of inclusion and fosters learning opportunities for students, faculty, and staff alike to improve their intercultural competence and knowledge of global places, events, and social issues.
