Intercultural U: Leveraging the Power of Diversity

Dear Northwest Campus Community,

We are pleased that you are exploring the Intercultural U Train the Trainer personal and professional development program. Gaining a deeper understanding of our own sense of culture enables each of us to gain a better understanding of others' perspectives. There is a large time commitment required to become a "Certified Intercultural Trainer;" however, this training will enhance your personal and professional skills.

We hope that you will make the time commitment to learn and develop as an interculturally competent professional. If you don’t have the time this fall for the program, perhaps you can suggest it to a co-worker.

Because interculturalism is important at Northwest, the Northwest Leadership Team has strongly encouraged supervisors to endorse and accommodate employees’ participation in the course.

If you have questions about the course, please contact Ame Lambert (lambert@nwmissouri.edu) in the Intercultural Office.

All sessions except the 1st session and Mr. Mun Wah's session (which will be held in the Union Living Room) will be held in Tower View Dining Room on the 2nd floor of the Student Union.

Thank you for your work in improving Northwest.

Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness
