Job Description

To provide assistance to an academic department; Hold study sessions for 17-171 Fundamentals of Mathematics and 17-317 Algebra and Geometry for Elementary and Middle School Teachers students 2 times a week for 1.5 hours each (a total of 3 hours per week).

Communications:

• Conduct individual math tutoring
• Utilize effective oral communications when answering questions

Critical/Creative Thinking and Problem Solving:

• Resolve needs of clients
• Answer students' questions
• Review homework assignments

Self-Directed Learning:

• Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks
• Help students prepare for tests and quizzes

Qualifications

Applicants must have taken Fundamentals of Math (17-171) and Algebra and Geometry for Elementary and Middle School Teachers (17-371) at Northwest Missouri State University and earned an A or B in each.
