Job Description

To provide safe and timely transportation to Northwest students; Requires driving a University vehicle on and off campus to transport students; Perform general clerical duties including typing, filing, record keeping, maintenance of files; Receive, screen and transfer calls; Other duties as assigned. 

Communications:

• Ability to follow oral instructions
• Operate all communications equipment provided
• Serve as communications liaison between field staff and communications centers
• Communicate effectively with students using the service

Critical/Creative Thinking and Problem Solving:

• Ability to handle multiple calls simultaneously
• Ability to resolve difficult interpersonal situations
• Ability to maintain a calm presence of mind under difficult circumstances or in the event of an emergency

Computer:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2000 and basic Windows

Self-Directed Learning:

• Ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks

Competence in a Discipline:

• Fundamentals of oral communication

Personal/Social Development:

• Ability to work unsupervised
• Act professional and be dependable
• Attention to detail

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills; Successful completion of investigative background check; Must have a current, valid driver's license and a safe driving record; Must meet all University requirements to drive a University vehicle; This position requires overnight hours Wednesday through Sunday.
