Job Description

To provide assistance processing textbooks for students; May require driving a University vehicle to transport textbooks to other locations on campus.


  • Follow oral instructions
  • Utilize effective oral communications when answering questions
  • Assist students in search of textbooks during the trimester

Critical/Creative Thinking and Problem Solving:

  • Complete cycle of textbook processing including receiving, shelving, scanning, sorting, alphabetizing, reorganizing, distributing, loading and unloading

Self-Directed Learning:

  • Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks

Personal/Social Development:

  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy
  • Pay attention to detail
  • Exhibit positive customer relations skills

Team Work/Team Leading:

  • Demonstrate ability to work positively with others


  • Have ability to work with diverse on campus populations


Able to lift 25 pounds independently; Preferred, but not required to have a current, valid driver's license; If in possession of a current, valid driver's license, must have a safe driving record and meet all University requirements to drive a University vehicle.

Hours Available

This position is of two week duration at the beginning of each trimester. Position hours vary; Actual dates of employment this trimester August 19 - September 2013.
