Job Description

To aid in the publication and funding of Northwest's Student Publications.

• Sell advertisements on a weekly basis throughout Maryville and surrounding areas
• Maintain a client list and keep in constant contact with advertisers
• Work directly with the Advertising Sales Manager and Advertising Design Manager
• Make corrections to proofed ads
• Attend required meetings
• Adhere to deadlines
• Attend required training

Communications:

• Utilize effective oral and written communications when delegating or answering questions

Computer:

• Microsoft Word

Self-Directed Learning:

• Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks

Personal/Social Development:

• Exhibit professionalism and courtesy
• Exhibit positive customer relation skills
• Pay attention to detail

Multicultural:

• Have ability to work with diverse on and off campus populations

Qualifications

Must have strong communication, organizational and people skills; Successfully completed or be enrolled in Principles of Marketing, Intro to Media Advertising, or equivalent; Sales experience helpful, but not required; Must have a flexible schedule; Must have a current, valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Wage Rate

Based on commission; Opportunities for bonuses available.

Hours Available

Flexible; Based on visiting advertisers.
