Job Description

To provide assistance to Northwest Student Publications; Answer phones; Take messages; Assist callers with questions; Run errands; and distribute items; Send mailings; Assist visitors; Maintain working inventory; and other duties as assigned; Follow oral instructions; Utilize effective oral and written communication when answering questions; Resolve needs of clients using knowledge of departmental and campus resources; Receive general instructions and complete projects independently; Microsoft Word; Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks; Exhibit professionalism and courtesy; Exhibit positive customer relations’ skills and pay attention to detail; Assist editorial staffs and advertising staff when necessary; Have ability to work with diverse on and off campus populations.

Qualifications

Outstanding communication skills; Courteous and polite when answering phones or assisting visitors; Willing to adapt to a variety of tasks; Excellent typing skills; Must have a current, valid driver's license and a safe driving record; Must know how to navigate oneself around the streets of Maryville for the purpose of delivering the Northwest Missourian; Must meet all University requirements to drive a University vehicle.
