Job Description

To prodive assistance to Education faculty and students in the use of an electronic file data assessment system; Work with students one on one and occasionally in small groups on setting up and uploading assessment artifacts; Responsible for the conversion of current hard copy files into electronic format; Developing an electronic file structure used for organizing student files for the College of Education and Human Services; Assist as needed with computer related tasks; Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to:

  • Express information clearly, both orally and written, in a manner that others can follow
  • Must be able to patiently and clearly answer questions about technical information and communicate technical information in user-friendly terms and language.

Critical/Creative Thinking and Problem Solving:
Must be able to:

  • Trouble shoot simple hardware and software problems
  • Receive general instructions and complete projects independently
  • Answer questions or refer customers to the appropriate source for information

Must have:

  • Ability to use most recent Microsoft Office features, especially Excel
  • Must also have ability to learn new applications quickly and then instruct others in their use

Self-Directed Learning:
Must have ability to:

  • Work unsupervised
  • Recognize, initiate, and complete various tasks
  • Maintain a professional attitude

Competence in a Discipline:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Teacher Education Program

  • Also must be able to address large crowds effectively while providing training

Education majors preferred; Minimum Cumulative 2.0 GPA; Experience with Windows 2010 and Office 2010; Evidence of the expected competencies listed above.
