GENERAL SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for the general day-to-day operation of a home providing 24-hour supports to 2-6 individuals with developmental disabilities during a weekend, holiday, sick time or vacation time for the assigned residential manager.

Direct Supports:

1. Provide or assist with the preparation of nutritious meals.
2. Assure prescribed meds are properly administered.
3. Assist each individual to portray a positive image.
4. Provide an environment of safety and security for all individuals.
5. Provide transportation, when needed.

Personal Plans:

1. Know respect, support each person's plan.
2. Assist in all processes of personal plan development, including: implementation, teaching plans, collecting information, monthly reviews, and record keeping.

Supervision of Other Staff:

1. Work cooperatively with all staff.
2. Assist in the evaluation process of other staff assigned to home, as requested.

Maintenance:

Maintain home to reflect a safe, clean, and healthy environment; Maintain vehicle in good repair and operate in safe manner, following the Vehicle Guidelines; Inform the supervisor/office of any maintenance needs.

General:

1. Attempt a positive, appropriate relationship with families, the general community, DMH personnel, and fellow staff members.
2. Cooperate with public relations efforts as requested.
3. Attend staff meetings, workshops, etc. as requested; Have any changes in scheduling approved; Be mindful of the high cost of operating each home.
5. Conduct and document fire and storm drills, as requested.
6. Properly complete all required paperwork.
7. Keep supervisors/ office aware of relevant information; Be cognizant of the Certification Principles in all decision making; Stay awake during normal work hours; While this job description does list many of the duties and responsibilities of a substitute residential coordinator, other duties may be assigned or delegated.

All employees shall abide by the AGH/NCS policies and procedures as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age; A male is required for this position; High school graduate or GED; Valid Class E operator's license or willing to get a class E license or equivalent if out of state license; CPR, First Aid, Abuse/Neglect, Positive Behavior Support, and medication training.

Wage Rate

$9.37

Hours Available

Weekends only; Friday night to Sunday night.
