Job Description |
To provide research and computer support to members of the Information Services Team and Collection Management Team; Assist with the maintenance of the Brick and Click Libraries Symposium Web site; Post library material selections within Title Source II; Create new and/or update existing library Web pages and multimedia objects; Update library Web site to reflect new templates or styles; Design promotional materials for the library; Evaluate Web sites and print resources to be included on the library’s Web site; Assist in library instruction; Other duties as assigned; Ability to communicate and work on teams with students, faculty and staff; Able to rephrase information; Communicate technical information in user friendly terms and language; Aptitude for creative thinking, problem solving, organizing; Ability to work towards a deadline and complete projects independently; Basic knowledge of Windows XP; Experience with Microsoft Office 2003 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Internet Explorer, Web-based Exchange E-Mail, Macromedia Dreamweaver, HTML , Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks, Macromedia Flash, and Indesign (if not proficient with software package, the applicant should have the willingness to learn and be able to retain detailed training through in-house tutorials); Familiarity with the Northwest campus computer network; Work unsupervised; Quality-conscious about work; Capability to be enterprising; Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks; Maintain a professional, clean work environment; Apply fundamentals taught in computer and/or IDM related courses/majors; Exhibit professionalism and courtesy; Exhibit positive customer relation’s skills; Maintain confidentiality; Willingness to learn and train others; Demonstrate ability to work positively with others; Have ability to work with diverse on and off campus populations. |

Qualifications |
Minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA; Basic knowledge of Windows XP; Experience with Microsoft Office 2003 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Internet Explorer, Web-based Exchange E-Mail, Macromedia Dreamweaver, HTML, Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks, Macromedia Flash, and Indesign (if not proficient with software package, the applicant should have the willingness to learn and be able to retain detailed training through in-house tutorials); Familiarity with the Northwest campus computer network; Excellent communication skills; Self-motivated learner; Undergraduate Work Study Recipients priority consideration. |
